E-Commerce Optimisation and Social Commerce Integration for Beauty Routine Cosmetics
Beauty Routine Cosmetics is a new cosmetic brand with roots in China that recently launched in Nigeria, aiming to take over the beauty space by offering affordable, high-quality products.
Beauty Routine Cosmetics reached out to us to help improve their e-commerce website. They faced several challenges: they couldn’t ship customer orders directly from their platform, nor could customers pay for their orders online. These issues delayed the conversion process and led to an increase in abandoned orders. Since Nigeria is a mobile-first market with heavy social media usage, the brand wanted to tap into social commerce by enabling customers to place orders via the WhatsApp app. Additionally, they wanted to launch an affiliate program that would allow them to leverage people’s influence to sell their products for a commission.
The Solution
To address the shipping challenges, we implemented a comprehensive shipping system that included a shipping calculator, tax calculator, invoice billing, and order status tracking. This allowed Beauty Routine Cosmetics to streamline their fulfillment process, enabling them to ship products efficiently from their platform directly to customer locations across Nigeria. For payments, we integrated popular payment gateways, Flutterwave and Paystack, to provide customers with seamless options to complete their purchases. This allowed payments through various methods, such as cards, bank transfers, and OPay, reducing friction and improving the overall checkout experience. Additionally, we introduced social commerce by enabling orders to be placed directly through WhatsApp, catering to Nigeria's mobile-first, social media-driven market. This made the shopping experience more accessible and convenient for customers. To help Beauty Routine Cosmetics expand their reach, we also launched an affiliate program. The program featured an affiliate tracking system that included dashboards for both affiliates and managers to monitor sales and commissions. Affiliates could enroll easily through custom landing pages and forms. The system also included link and coupon code tracking, media file sharing, fraud detection, and an automated registration and onboarding process. This helped the brand leverage influencers and loyal customers to drive sales while tracking performance efficiently.
The Result
We upgraded Beauty Routine Cosmetics' e-commerce platform, allowing them to ship products directly to customer locations across Nigeria. With the new payment system in place, customers could now pay using a variety of methods, including cards, bank transfers, and OPay. Furthermore, the integrated affiliate software empowered the company to onboard affiliates to promote their products. This system featured link and coupon code tracking, a media file dashboard, affiliate dashboards, fraud detection, and automated registration and onboarding processes. The company was also able to turn existing customers into brand ambassadors, amplifying their reach and sales.
